Affectionately known as the First Lady of Waikiki, the Moana Surfrider opened in 1901, becoming the first hotel in Hawaii.
Afternoon tea has been a tradition at the Moana Surfrider since the grand hotel opened its doors.
Keep the institution alive, and even pretend it’s the early 20th century, with a midday visit to The Veranda, located next to the hotel’s legendary Banyan tree and just steps from Waikiki beach.
Classic tea service includes finger sandwiches, scones with Devonshire clotted cream and pastries to accompany a selection of hot teas.
Afternoon tea is held daily at The Veranda from 12 to 3 p.m.
