Kaunala Trail

A North Shore hike that weaves through gulches and native forests.

Unala means to weave or plait, and the Kaunala Trail weaves through four gulches and three forest zones that include introduced trees (groves of eucalyptus and guava) and native forest (koa, kukui, and ohia lehua).

The hike also offers beautiful vistas of the North Shore and the Waianae Mountain Range.

Open on weekends only
