Event Details

The rural district of Kau comes alive for 10 days as it celebrates coffee.

Activities include an Open House at Pahala Plantation House, coffee recipe contest, historic Kau Mountain Water Systems Hike in Wood Valley, Miss Kau Coffee Pageant and Kau Stargazing atop a culturally important mountaintop, Makanau.

Fun culminates with the all-day Hoolaulea on May 27, and Coffee College on May 28 at Pahala Community Center.

Hoolaulea offers Hawaiian hula and music; friendly craft, coffee and food booths; Kau Coffee Experience with guided coffee tasting by industry professionals and farm/mill tours.

Talk story with the people producing Kau coffee and local products.
