Event Details
Books and music expand our minds, transport us to other worlds, show us people and places, experiences, the tragedy, mystery, and the magic life brings.
The Hawai‘i Book & Music Festival celebrates and honors books, storytelling and music, in a way that appeals to all ages, all genres.
This festival aims to raise awareness of the serious nature of illiteracy in Hawaii, and to encourage reading.
Admission and parking are free.
Buy books, browse booths, meet authors, such as Alan Brennert (Honolulu, Molokai, Daughter of Molokai), and listen to the music of ukulele master Jake Shimabukuro.
Festival runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Civic Grounds by Honolulu Hale.
